What does Steph Curry, who is 34 years old, have in common with Steph Curry, who is 12 years old? Both of them have protected some renowned athletes.  A vintage photo of the four-time champion at the age of twelve guarding NBA veteran Muggsy Bogues has made a reappearance online. It’s a classic.

That Curry being around professional basketball players at such a young age is not surprising. Dell, his father, was an NBA player for sixteen years, and he constantly exposed his son to professionals. This allowed Steph to occasionally test his inexperienced abilities against experienced players. And when he looked out for Bogues, he did just that.

Fans of Steph-Muggsy also showered the image with affection on social media.For ten years, from 1988 to 1997, Dell and the five-foot-three Bogues were teammates on the Charlotte Hornets. In the 2000–01 NBA season, they were reunited as players for the Toronto Raptors. Bogues averaged 7.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 7.6 assists over his career. He also spent a good deal of time on average with the younger Steph.
