Eddie Nketiah has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Nottingham Forest as he prepares to leave Arsenal after nine years with the Gunners.

The 25-year-old striker looks poised to join Forest, who have been actively seeking a forward to strengthen Nuno Espírito Santo’s attacking lineup. According to Fabrizio Romano, Nketiah has reached an agreement with Forest, and the deal is approaching finalization with Arsenal.

Forest’s pursuit of Nketiah follows a £22 million bid for Feyenoord’s Santiago Giménez, which was turned down. The club is reportedly “confident” about concluding the Nketiah transfer soon, especially as Crystal Palace remains interested.

Nketiah has struggled for regular game time at Arsenal, often being overlooked in favor of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz. Last season, he made 27 Premier League appearances but only started ten games, scoring five goals and providing two assists.

While Ligue 1’s Marseille also showed interest in Nketiah, they failed to agree on terms with Arsenal and withdrew from negotiations.

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is expected to sign a new long-term contract with the club, extending beyond his current deal, which expires in 2025. Additionally, Forest has bolstered their squad with the arrival of Alex Moreno on a season-long loan from Aston Villa.
