Journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that Jadon Sancho is likely to leave Manchester United this summer. Sancho was left out of the squad for the 1-0 win against Fulham in the Premier League opener.
Manager Erik ten Hag explained that although Sancho was struggling with an ear infection before the match, he was fit to play but preferred to choose other players on that day. It was no surprise that Ten Hag also omitted Sancho in Manchester United’s 1-2 loss to Brighton in the Premier League’s second round.
According to The Athletic, Sancho responded to Ten Hag’s decision by reiterating his desire to leave. Recently, David Ornstein confirmed: “Jadon Sancho could leave Manchester United before the transfer deadline. The club is in talks with Juventus and Chelsea about either a permanent transfer or a loan deal.
Chelsea might need to offer a player in exchange. Raheem Sterling is the most viable option, but several conditions must be met for the deal to happen.”
With these developments, Sancho’s departure from Manchester United seems increasingly imminent.
Manchester United is prepared to sell Jadon Sancho and is looking to secure around £40 million for him. Discussions are currently focused on the terms of a potential transfer agreement for Sancho.
