Following the 0-3 loss to Liverpool in the third round of the Premier League for the 2025/26 season, Erik ten Hag’s odds of being dismissed have surged. He is currently the favorite to be the first manager to be sacked in the league. So far, after three rounds, Manchester United has won only one match and suffered two consecutive defeats.

Before being overwhelmed by Liverpool at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag’s side had lost 1-2 to Brighton. Given Manchester United’s recent performances, British media have expressed significant pessimism about Erik ten Hag’s future, suggesting that the Dutch coach appears to be struggling.
