According to the Daily Mail on September 9, Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, is in the process of negotiating a loan for Antony. The Brazilian star is reportedly eager to leave, given his diminished role under coach Erik Ten Hag. The Turkish transfer window closes on September 13, which is two weeks later than in England, allowing English clubs to finalize deals with Turkish teams.Antony's Man United stance clear as transfer offers 'received' - Manchester Evening News

Antony has struggled to justify his $103 million transfer from the summer of 2022. The 24-year-old winger has only scored 11 goals in 83 appearances for Manchester United, including five in the Premier League. He is currently third choice on the right wing, behind Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo.

Besides Fenerbahce, Antony has attracted interest from his former club Ajax, as well as several teams in France, Spain, and Saudi Arabia. At Manchester United, Antony earns $260,000 per week. In the loan arrangement, United may need to cover part of his salary. If the loan goes well, Fenerbahce might consider a permanent transfer at a reasonable price in the summer of 2025.

Mourinho, who managed Manchester United from 2016 to 2018, took over at Fenerbahce this summer. He has already signed Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla, and brought in Sofyan Amrabat (from Fiorentina), Filip Kostic (from Juventus), and Allan Saint-Maximin (from Al Ahli) on loan. Fenerbahce also boasts former Ajax captain Dusan Tadic, former Manchester United midfielder Fred, and ex-Manchester City and Inter forward Edin Dzeko.Man Utd man 'pushing' for September transfer with Euro giants in 'pole' amid Newcastle interest

With 10 points from four matches, Fenerbahce currently leads the Turkish Super Lig for the 2024-2025 season. Fred scored a hat-trick in their 5-0 victory over Rizespor on August 25. However, after losing to Lille in the Champions League qualifiers, Fenerbahce has dropped down to the Europa League. Should Antony join Fenerbahce, he could face Manchester United in the third round of the Europa League group stage on October 24.
