A former Manchester United youth player is now making waves as a private coach for some of football’s top stars.
Ryan Hopper, who was a part of United’s academy from age 6 to 14, is now renowned for his individual coaching work, including training Marcus Rashford. After a brief stint as a professional with Accrington Stanley in League 2, Hopper transitioned into elite personal coaching.
He now runs RH Elite Coaching in Manchester, offering tailored training sessions to both academy players and senior professionals. Notable clients have included United’s Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, as well as Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga and England Women’s star Ella Toone.
Currently, Hopper is also working with Kai Rooney, the son of United and England legend Wayne Rooney. The young talent has made a significant impact at United’s academy, scoring 56 goals in his debut season and garnering comparisons to his famous father.
With Rashford using his international break to train with Hopper, fans are eagerly anticipating his return. Rashford has been seen working on shooting drills, first touch, and dribbling with Hopper’s guidance, and his recent workouts, which included boxing drills and balance exercises, have impressed fans.
United supporters reacted enthusiastically to Rashford’s training sessions. One commented, “Scary hours but not for us,” while another said, “He’s about to be a nightmare for all the opposing players.” Fans are excited, with one noting, “You’re gonna have another great season,” and another adding, “Almost time to show the world again.”
